Hi, I'm AnaMichele.
I wear many hats including filmmaker, producer, curator, speaker, and educator.
I work at MetroEast Community Media, where I develop filmmaking and media education programs for underserved groups in East Portland, Oregon. I also write articles, speak at community events, and screen films for multiple festivals including NFFTY (National Film Festival for Talented Youth) and the Portland Film Festival.
I am a huge fan of independent media, whether that’s small-town community cable channels, low-budget short films, or internationally-produced feature documentaries. We need more diverse perspectives and voices.
Media's influence in our society today cannot be understated. I am dedicated to making films and fostering conversations that build understanding in our divided world.
